An engineering toolbar full of useful design resources.

  •

conduit.com

We’ve recently created a toolbar for engineers that is full of useful design resources. This is a great way to keep these resources handy. I used http://www.conduit.com to make it.

The really cool part is that after you install it, it will automatically stay up to date as we add new resources to it.  How cool?

If you’re curious what’s included, I added all our recommended design resources from our blog.

What other resources would you like to see added to this toolbar?

All of us at Industrial Interface are techies at heart.  Most of us are also engineers.  We love to hear and read about the same things you do.  If you’ve got something that you think other engineers, designers, and industrial suppliers will enjoy reading about or seeing, share it with us!  We’ll try to share it with our readers.

You can also share with us via our Twitter feeds.  Help4Engineers is our feed for engineers and designer and TechSalesLeads is our feed for industrial suppliers and salespeople.

A blog for Industrial Interface

  •

We’ve been debating starting a blog for quite some time at Industrial Interface. So why have we started one now?

Three reasons:

  1. Working as engineers and suppliers in the manufacturing industry and researching and building Industrial Interface has provided us with a lot of information about how engineers and suppliers use the internet to do their jobs. We’ve always shared some of this information on our main site but we want to do more with it. Why not share it in a more dynamic environment where we can all collaborate.
  2. We’ve been using Twitter to share some of this information for the past few months via an account called Help4Engineers (a feed for engineers) and an account called TechSalesLeads (a feed for suppliers). We have had a really good response from our followers and have found that we often want to share more information than you can in a tweet.
  3. This blog will hopefully help spread the word about Industrial Interface and help grow the site into the powerful tool we want it to be for Engineers, Designers, and Suppliers.

Through this blog, we plan to share all sorts of knowledge about the online world for the manufacturing industry. We want to talk about the vast collection of online tools that engineers and suppliers use to do their jobs better. We also plan to keep you up to date with our company, Industrial Interface. We look forward to sharing with our community, and we hope this blog will be a great resource for everyone who reads it.

Industrial Interface, Inc. Focuses Growth on Research, Design, and Manufacturing for the Medical Device Market

  •

SAN DIEGO, CA — May 8, 2009 — Industrial Interface is focusing its growth and development on the medical device market. Company president, co-founder, and former manufacturing engineer, T. Brian Jones said, “Medical devices is a dominant industry in Southern California where we are located. It’s an industry with diverse and complex design and manufacturing issues, and we believe that Industrial Interface will be a valuable tool for engineers and suppliers.”

Industrial Interface has no plans to limit project postings from other industries and other engineering professions. Jones explained, “OEM suppliers in the medical device market cover a broad range of specialties and we believe that they will benefit our entire community of engineers and designers, not just those in the medical device field.”

Jones finished by saying, “We would like to develop our supplier network to be the best in the world for the medical device market, and some of the major players are already using our system. More than ever before, our customers realize the importance of sourcing the best solutions at the best prices, and they are excited at the possibilities presented by Industrial Interface.”

More About Industrial Interface, Inc.

Industrial Interface is an online B2B service that connects engineers with experienced technical salespeople. The system allows engineers, designers, and sourcing professionals to post projects, problems, and sourcing needs to the website. Industrial Interface then matches those projects with industrial suppliers who have worked on similar projects in the past, or who have experience with similar technologies. The system finds potentially relevant salespeople by allowing Engineers to post as little as a problem statement and some technical details.

Industrial Interface, Inc. Continues Growth of its Core Business, Connecting Engineers with Experienced Salespeople in the Industrial Research, Design, and Manufacturing Market

  •

SAN DIEGO, CA — April 10, 2009 — Industrial Interface is an online B2B service that connects engineers with experienced technical salespeople.

Co-Founder and President T. Brian Jones explained, “Salespeople with the right products, capabilities, and background are able to instantly identify projects that they can help with. Engineers no longer need to waste time scouring industrial directories and managing endless communications to find the best suppliers.”

Industrial Interface is attempting to eliminate barriers that currently make it difficult for engineers and suppliers to find each other. Jones further noted, “The manufacturing industry has a very unique sales force. They are incredibly knowledgeable and many of them have technical backgrounds that make them a valuable resource for engineers and designers. These salespeople already spend a lot of money to make themselves available as a resource. The problem is that engineers generally can’t find suppliers until they are late in the design phase. By allowing engineers to post nothing more than a problem statement to Industrial Interface, we allow the right salespeople to find the engineers. We’re reversing the search process.”

Industrial Interface is currently in a beta development phase. They are allowing engineers and salespeople from all segments of industry to sign up for testing, but are concentrating their efforts in the medical device market in Southern California where the company is located. The system is free for engineers and designers to use, and is currently offering discounted pricing to suppliers who sign up during their beta development phase.

Jones finished by saying, “We are a young company looking to grow our network of salespeople, and expand the projects being posted by engineers. We’ve identified a serious problem in the manufacturing industry, and have a truly unique solution that is receiving very positive response.”
